The driver will be responsible for driving staff and delivering documents, material and equipment to areas where they are required.He/she will also be responsible for maintaining vehicles and ensuring they are fit to be on the road at all times.

DUTIES

➢ Transport staff, materials and equipment securely to areas where they are needed
➢ Deliver and pick up documents in a timely responsible manner
➢ Carry out routine checks on vehicles and ensure they are sound and report any instance of mishap or accident
➢ inspect the vehicles and perform basic support undertakings like changing the oil, refuelling the car(s), changing the batteries, and checking and repairing some minor issues
➢ Perform periodic maintenance on vehicles, such as changing batteries and motor oil at appropriate time, as well as refuelling the car(s).
➢ Ensure the car registration, fitness, road tax and other requirements are up to date

REQUIRED SKILLS

➢ Must be mature and of sober character
➢ Should be an expert driver, able to drive various types of vehicles –buses, trucks
➢ Able to perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks
➢ Willing and able to work long hours

QUALIFICATIONS

➢ Grade 12 school certificate
➢ Clean and valid PSV Driver’s Licence
➢ A mechanics certificate will be an added advantage
➢ Must have a minimum 2 years’ experience with traceable references
